Maison Dourthe was founded in 1840 and is a committed player in Bordeaux, with a sincere, passionate and artisan approach. The company has developed a unique range of vines which embody the wealth and diversity of Bordeaux terroirs. Through its flagship cuvées, which carry the colours of the Bordeaux region, or the châteaux that it brings to the top of their appellation, Dourthe is a house with a sure signature. Its flagship cuvée, available in three colours, is Dourthe No. 1, a true archetype of good Bordeaux. It also owns several important properties, such as Pey La Tour, in Entre-Deux-Mers, La Garde, in Pessac-Léognan, and the classified growth of Haut-Médoc, Belgrave. Taken over by Alain Thiénot from Champagne, it has not changed its philosophy of action in any way.
