Château Fleur Cardinale is a family owned property of 23.5Ha located in the commune of Saint-Etienne de Lisse, Gironde, and located in the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé appellation. The Decoster family took over Château Fleur Cardinale in 2001. Since the very beginning they have worked and lived at the wine estate. With the help of the team that was in place, the estate was awarded the rank of Grand Cru Classé in 2006. For years, the property has made every effort to be an ethical property. In 2021, Château Fleur Cardinale is the first classified growth of Bordeaux with the Committed CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) label on an individual basis, linked to sustainable development. In 2021, the conversion to organic farming started. The aim is to have the entirety of the vineyards, both red and white varieties, certified as organically-farmed, for the 2024 vintage.

Florence and Dominique Decoster are leaving more and more room for their son Ludovic and his wife Caroline who have taken a passion for this 23 hectare hillside estate near the commune of Castillon. The wines have a rare generosity, even in average vintages, and have gained in finesse of tannin grain. 2016 and 2018 are beautifully sensual. It is one of the sure values of this sector of Saint-Emilion and the new cellar will allow them to be more precise in the definition of the wines.
