Nestled at the heart of the AOP de Baux-de-Provence, on the southern slopes of the Alpilles limestone cliffs, the vineyard at Château d’Estoublon spreads over 17 hectares farmed organically. Kings of Provence’s grape varieties, Grenache, Syrah, Marsanne and Roussanne reveal the very essence of this peculiar terroir, both lively and rich.
Bettane Desseauve Domain Comment :
This magnificent château was bought by the Schneider family in 1999 and is now run by Valérie and Rémy Reboul. The diversity of the clay and limestone soils allows the wines to have a structure of great complexity. In addition to their wine business, the estate has a large olive grove and, rarely seen, its own oil mill allowing them to produce excellent olive oils. In addition to a pretty shop and a country restaurant, the château, recently restored with great care, can be privatised and is now one of the top places for Provencal hospitality. We can only encourage this initiative, which allows a skilful combination of wine and the art of living in the Provençal way.
