Umberto Cesari has been a leading Sangiovese DOC producer for more than 50 years. The winery is located on the hills (350/400 meters above sea level), in the heart of Emilia Romagna, an area particularly prized for high quality viticulture.
The 355 hectare-winery produces indigenous grapes such as Sangiovese, Albana, Pignoletto and Trebbiano, but also international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc, which are used to create blends that enhance the characteristics of the native grapes.
