ガストン・ブリュネルという男とシャトーヌフ・デュ・パプというテロワールの出会いから始まったブリュネル家は、代々その伝統を受け継いでいます。ブルネル家は、自然のバランスを保つため、先祖が用いてきた人間の技術と手に頼る方法を好んでいます。土壌（砂利、ウルゴニアン石灰岩、鮮新世土壌）に合わせて厳選された葡萄品種は、ワインに複雑味を与えています。丁寧な選果と醸造段階でブレンドすることにより、非常に均質なブレンドとすべてのアロマの融合が実現できます。ブルネル家の葡萄栽培の伝統は17世紀まで遡ります。
Born out of the meeeting of a man Gaston Brunel and a « terroir », Châteauneuf du Pape, The Brunel famiy perpetuates the traditions throught generations. The family favours ancestral methods to preserve the balance of nature, using human skills and hands. The grape varieties carefully chosen depending on the soil (galets roulés, Urgonian Limestone and Piocene era soil), provide a lot of complexity to the wines. Carrefully sorting the grapes and blending them at vinification stage give a very homogeneous blend and the cohesion of all the aromas. The viticultural tradition of the Brunel family dates back to the 17th Century.

A great classic of the appellation, La Gardine is a vast estate in one piece, ending on the banks of the Rhône, opposite Roquemaure, and resting for the most part on a limestone base to the west of the appellation. In its original bottle shape, the estate’s classic cuvée is faultlessly regular, while the special cuvées and generations are powerful wines, both white and red, that require a few years of cellaring to mature. The Brunels have created a cuvée vinified without sulphur, Peur Bleue, technically irreproachable. The 2016s are on the whole well constructed. A trademark that should be highlighted in these times when approximation has become a commercial argument!
