バルベラーニは、コルバーラ湖を見下ろす丘陵地帯に位置するワイナリーです。ここはオルヴィエートワインの中で最も古く、「クラシコ」という呼称が与えられている名門エリアです。総面積は100haで、そのうち55haが葡萄畑です。コルバーラ湖の影響を受けた特殊な微気候はこの地域特有のものです。土壌は堆積岩と石灰質・珪藻土の岩石によって特徴づけられます。これらが複合的に、ワインの複雑さと典型的なミネラルを決定するユニークなテロワールをもたらしています。
The Barberani wine company is located on the hills overlooking lake Corbara. This is the oldest and most prestigious area of the Orvieto wine, which has also been given the appellation of “Classico”. The estate covers a total area of 100 hectares, 55 of which are made of vineyards. The area is unique for the particular micro-climate conditions influenced by lake Corbara. Our soil is characterized by sedimentary and limestone-argillaceous rocks. The combined effect is a unique terroir bestows that determines the complexity and typical minerality of our wines.
